NICOLE BROOKS

Nicole Brooks believes deeply in the transformative power of yoga as a holistic practice that connects individuals to themselves, to each other, and to the greater universe. She is passionate about sharing this wisdom through a diverse range of yoga styles, with a special focus on the spiritual dimensions of the practice, particularly the chakras, to promote balance and overall well-being.

Yoga has been a part of Nicole's life since she was young, but it wasn’t until she discovered Hot Yoga that her practice truly ignited a deep passion. This experience inspired her to pursue formal training, earning her 200-hour RYT certification. Now, she is dedicated to guiding others on a journey that transcends the physical practice, blending mindfulness and spirituality in a way that nurtures the body, mind, and spirit.

Whether you're new to yoga or looking to deepen your practice, Nicole offers a supportive and enriching environment where you can explore your inner self, cultivate mindfulness, and experience personal growth. SHAN COUSROUF

Shan Cousrouf grew up in the blue-collar suburbs of Detroit during the 1960s, navigating the tumultuous social and political landscape of the time. He emerged from those years with a deeply rooted Taoist/Buddhist philosophy, cultivating a peace-oriented outlook that has guided his life ever since. A 20-year foundation in Fine Arts and Studio Arts provided Shan with a creative lens through which to view the world, fueling his passion for self-expression and the arts.

Shan’s professional journey spans several healthcare settings, where he worked with a wide range of populations, including those in Aerospace Rescue and Recovery (37th ARRS), rural hospitals, addiction and dual diagnosis treatment, urban Indian healthcare, and reservation outreach programs. These experiences ignited a strong desire to advocate for those with limited access to healthcare and social resources, motivating him to take action on the issues confronting marginalized communities.

A significant life change led Shan to return to his meditation practice, which ultimately guided him to a group of local yoga practitioners in Billings, Montana. This moment marked the beginning of his full-time commitment to yoga, which he now embraces as a cornerstone of his life.

Currently, Shan studies, practices, and teaches yoga with a focus on civil rights, social justice, and peace-building. His work is rooted in a dedication to fostering equality and well-being in the Providence, Rhode Island area, located on the unceded traditional lands of the Narragansett people, whose oral history spans over thirty thousand years. Shan’s journey is one of continuous learning and service, as he strives to cultivate peace and advocate for social change in the communities he serves.
